Visa and Iqama Process
Steel companies handle visa processing. After selection (skilled positions include trade tests), you receive a manufacturing-sector visa. Upon arrival, accommodation and Iqama processing are arranged within 90 days. Steel workers typically receive heat stress training and acclimatization periods before full deployment.
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates should be between 22 and 45 years of age and physically fit (steel work is demanding due to heat and physical labor). Basic literacy is required for helpers; ITI certificates or diplomas are needed for technicians and operators. Previous industrial or steel mill experience is highly preferred. Crane operators need valid licenses and experience. Heat tolerance is essential. Good vision and hearing required.
Document Checklist
Required documents include passport (18+ months validity), recent photographs, ITI certificates or diplomas (for skilled positions), experience letters from previous industrial employers (steel mill experience particularly valued), character certificate, comprehensive medical fitness certificate including heat tolerance assessment, GAMCA medical, and licenses (forklift, crane) where applicable.
