Career Growth in Aviation
Aviation offers excellent career progression. Cabin crew: junior cabin crew → senior cabin crew → cabin crew leader → purser → inflight supervisor → cabin crew manager → flight services manager. Ground staff: agent → senior agent → team leader → supervisor → station manager → operations manager. Engineers: technician → licensed engineer → senior engineer → quality inspector → engineering manager. Many aviation professionals transition between airlines for career growth.
Tips for Aviation Job Seekers
Develop excellent English communication. Learn additional languages (Arabic, French, Mandarin, etc.). Get customer service certifications. Maintain peak physical fitness and grooming standards. Build aviation knowledge (aircraft types, airports, airlines). Get IELTS scores of 6.5+ for cabin crew positions. Develop swimming skills. Network through aviation professional groups.
Avoiding Fraud
Aviation jobs are heavily targeted by fraud due to glamour and salaries. Saudia and other major airlines NEVER charge candidates for jobs. Genuine recruitment is through official career portals with structured interviews. Be suspicious of agents promising “guaranteed” cabin crew positions for fees. Real cabin crew selection has 95%+ rejection rates.
