What Are Warehouse Packing Jobs in Dubai
Warehouse packing jobs involve preparing goods for storage, shipment, or distribution. Workers in these roles sort, label, wrap, and pack products across a range of industries including e-commerce, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, retail, and logistics.
Dubai’s rapid growth as a global trade and logistics hub has created a strong and consistent demand for warehouse staff. Companies operating out of free zones like Jebel Ali, Dubai South, and Dubai Industrial City regularly hire large numbers of packing operatives to keep supply chains moving.
These roles are well suited to Dubai jobs for foreigners because they typically require no formal qualifications, offer structured shifts, and come with employer-sponsored visas in many cases.

Benefits and Allowances You Can Expect
Many warehouse employers in Dubai provide a package that goes well beyond the basic monthly wage. Here is what you can typically expect when you take on jobs in Dubai with free visa:
Free Accommodation
Free accommodation jobs Dubai are common in the warehouse and logistics sector. Employers provide shared staff housing, usually near industrial zones, to reduce commuting costs and keep workers close to the facility.
Transport Allowance or Free Shuttle
Most employers provide either a daily transport allowance or a dedicated shuttle bus that runs between staff accommodation and the warehouse. This is a standard feature of expat jobs Dubai in the industrial sector.
Health Insurance
Under UAE law, employers are required to provide basic health insurance for all employees. Many warehouse operators comply with this as part of the employment contract.
Annual Flight Ticket
Many employers offer one return flight ticket to the worker’s home country each year, which is a significant added benefit for those living away from family.
Food Allowance
Some companies provide a monthly food allowance or subsidized meals on site, particularly in larger fulfillment centers that operate around the clock.
Working Hours and Shift Patterns
Warehouse packing jobs in Dubai typically involve shift-based work. Standard arrangements include:
- 8-hour or 12-hour rotating shifts covering day and night operations
- Six working days per week with one day off, typically Friday or Sunday
- Overtime is common and is paid at a higher rate as required by UAE labour law
Under MOHRE regulations, the standard working week is 48 hours, and overtime beyond this is compensated at a minimum of 25 percent above the regular hourly rate, or 50 percent for overtime during rest days and public holidays.
During Ramadan, working hours are reduced by two hours per day for all employees, including non-Muslims, as required by UAE law.
Understanding the MOHRE Work Permit and UAE Employment Visa
To work legally in Dubai, every foreign national must hold a valid UAE employment visa and a MOHRE work permit. These documents are the responsibility of the employer to arrange when they are sponsoring a worker from abroad.
How the MOHRE Work Permit Works
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) oversees all labour contracts and work permits in the private sector. When an employer hires a foreign worker, they must:
1. Obtain a labour quota approval from MOHRE
2. Submit the employment contract through the MOHRE e-portal
3. Apply for the entry permit (work visa)
4. Complete the medical test and Emirates ID registration upon the worker’s arrival
5. Finalise the residence visa stamping in the passport
The entire process is managed by the employer in most genuine job offers. If a recruiter asks you to pay for your own visa, this is a red flag and may indicate a scam.
Jobs in Dubai with Free Visa
Legitimate jobs in Dubai with free visa mean the employer covers all visa costs. This is the standard arrangement for blue-collar and warehouse roles hired from overseas. Workers are not legally permitted to pay for their own visa under genuine employment sponsorship arrangements.

Here is a step-by-step approach to finding and applying for warehouse packing roles in Dubai as a foreign applicant.
