Hero jobs for 12th pass is among the most searched job topics in the automobile sector, and for good reason: showrooms, workshops and parts warehouses need people continuously, all across India.
This guide explains the roles, realistic eligibility, approximate advertised salary ranges, the safe official ways to apply, and the scams to avoid, all in one place. Two rules frame everything below: treat every salary figure as approximate until your offer letter, and never pay anyone for a job.
Hero jobs for 12th pass: what you need to know first
With 12th pass, the showroom floor opens up: sales executive roles showing bikes and scooters to walk-in customers, follow-up calling on enquiries, test-ride coordination, and documentation support for financing and registration. Dealerships value candidates who speak the local language confidently, keep commitments, and can learn model specifications quickly.
Showroom floor roles are commonly advertised at approximately ₹19,000 to ₹27,000 per month, and sales roles usually add incentives per vehicle sold, which is where committed performers meaningfully out-earn the base figure. Treat the first year as an apprenticeship in selling; the skill transfers across every vehicle brand and much of retail.
About Hero and where the jobs actually are
Few Indian brands reach as deep into the country as Hero: the world’s largest two-wheeler maker by volume runs manufacturing plants in multiple states and sells through thousands of authorized dealerships and service points. For job seekers, the crucial fact is structural: the company itself hires for plants and offices, while the vast majority of everyday openings, showroom sales, mechanics, cashiers, helpers, parts staff, are with authorized dealerships, which are independent franchise businesses hiring locally. This means opportunity is distributed: wherever a dealership or service center operates, local hiring follows, without the long corporate processes plant roles involve.

Salary: approximate ranges commonly advertised
These indicative bands reflect how such roles are commonly advertised; actual offers vary by location and candidate, and nothing is real until it is in your offer letter.
- 10th pass entry roles (helper, washing, workshop assistant): approximately ₹17,000 to ₹22,000 per month.
- 12th pass roles (showroom sales executive, floor staff): approximately ₹19,000 to ₹27,000 per month.
- Technician and mechanic roles (ITI preferred): approximately ₹22,000 to ₹35,000 per month.
- Showroom cashier and billing: approximately ₹24,000 to ₹30,000 per month.
- Helper and support staff: approximately ₹19,000 to ₹27,000 per month.
- Showroom reception and customer support: approximately ₹20,000 to ₹29,000 per month.
- Spare parts warehouse and packing staff: approximately ₹19,000 to ₹27,000 per month.
Sales roles typically add per-vehicle incentives on top of base pay, and technicians grow fastest with skill certifications; organized dealerships also provide PF, ESI and formal payslips. Inflated guaranteed-salary promises are the classic bait of recruitment fraud around big brands; if it looks far above these bands for an entry role, be suspicious.
How to apply safely: official routes that work
Every legitimate path in is free and checkable; use these three. First, walk into the dealership itself: for showroom, workshop, cashier and parts roles, the dealership is the employer, and handing a one-page resume to the showroom manager or workshop head remains the highest-conversion application in this sector, especially at newly opening outlets. Second, official company channels: corporate and plant openings with Hero MotoCorp are listed through its official careers channels; search for the official Hero MotoCorp careers page and navigate from there rather than trusting forwarded links. Third, established job portals: Naukri, Apna, LinkedIn and similar platforms carry dealership listings where you can check the employer account and cross-verify by phoning the dealership directly.
Your resume needs one page: education, trade certificates, city, languages, licence status, and any billing, sales or mechanical experience; carry passport photos for walk-ins.
Documents checklist: prepare once, use everywhere
Keep one folder ready and every walk-in, portal application and joining process gets easier. Keep together: originals and two photocopies of your 8th, 10th or 12th marksheets and any ITI or diploma certificates; Aadhaar and PAN copies; four passport-size photos; your driving licence if you hold one; any experience or training letters; and a bank passbook or cancelled cheque copy for salary setup. Add phone-scans of everything to a folder on your phone; portals and HR teams will ask for digital copies repeatedly. Hand documents only during genuine onboarding at premises you have seen; identity papers in the wrong hands enable fraud in your name.
Tips to actually get selected
These small things separate selected candidates from the rest:
- Reach the walk-in or interview fifteen minutes early; punctuality is the first test and it happens before any question.
- Dress neat and simple; showrooms are presentation businesses and they are imagining you in front of customers.
- Carry a one-page resume and certificate copies even for helper roles; it makes the manager’s decision easy.
- Mention your two-wheeler licence early if you have one; it is relevant to almost every dealership role.
- For sales roles, know two or three current models and be ready to say why a customer should pick one.
- For technician roles, be honest about what jobs you can and cannot do yet; workshops respect accuracy over bluff.
- Answer the weekend-and-festival availability question positively; delivery season is when dealerships earn, and staffing it is the deciding factor.
Shifts, workload and daily working reality
The daily reality is manageable, but only if you expect it honestly. Showrooms and workshops run six days a week with rotating weekday offs, because weekends are when customers come; festival seasons around Navratri, Dhanteras and Diwali are the year’s peak, with delivery rushes that stretch days and reward staff who show up. Workshop roles are physical and start early to receive service bookings; showroom roles keep you standing and talking through the day; parts and warehouse roles run to dispatch schedules that can include night shifts with allowances. None of this is a reason to avoid the sector; it is exactly why dependable people rise quickly in it.
Growth: where a dealership job can take you
A dealership job is an entry point with real ceilings above it, if you treat it that way. Sales executives grow toward senior sales, team leader and sales manager roles, with incentives compounding along the way; cashiers move toward accounts and back-office; reception staff toward customer relationship management. An ITI completed alongside a helper job is the classic upgrade path in this sector, converting support-level pay into technician-level pay within a couple of years.
Roles Hero dealerships and service centers commonly hire for
Whether a new dealership is opening or an established one is replacing staff, these are the roles involved:
- Showroom sales executive: attending walk-ins, explaining models, test rides, enquiry follow-up. Usually 12th pass; incentives common.
- Service technician / mechanic: periodic servicing, diagnostics, warranty work. ITI in motor mechanic or auto-electrical preferred; brand training provided.
- Showroom cashier / billing: bookings, down payments, financier coordination, daily reconciliation. 12th pass with computer comfort.
- Reception / customer relationship executive: front desk, service bookings, delivery coordination, feedback calls. 12th pass with good communication.
- Helper / workshop assistant: washing, vehicle movement, parts fetching, technician support. 8th to 10th pass.
- Spare parts and warehouse staff: receiving, binning, picking, packing and counter sales of components. 10th to 12th pass.
- Plant and production roles: operators and associates at manufacturing locations, typically via official channels, apprenticeships or staffing contractors.
Match the role to your education and temperament, customer-facing versus workshop, desk versus physical, before applying anywhere.
Eligibility and what hiring managers actually check
Written requirements are simple, which makes the unwritten ones decisive. Helper and washing roles ask for 8th to 10th pass; showroom sales, cashier and reception roles want 12th pass; technician roles prefer ITI in motor mechanic, auto-electrical or a related trade, though experienced hands without certificates are also absorbed. Managers also check for a valid two-wheeler licence, comfort with weekend rosters, and the stamina for on-your-feet work in showrooms and workshops. Career switchers should highlight any customer-facing, billing or mechanical experience; all three transfer directly.
Frequently asked questions
Is there any fee to apply for Hero jobs?
No. Neither Hero MotoCorp nor any authorized dealership charges candidates for applications, interviews, uniforms, tools or joining. Anyone demanding money is a fraudster regardless of their letterhead or ID card. Walk away and report the number at cybercrime.gov.in.
Do I need an ITI to become a technician?
ITI in motor mechanic or auto-electrical is preferred and moves pay meaningfully, but workshops also grow their own: helpers who learn on the job for a year or two, ideally completing ITI alongside, are regularly promoted into technician roles with brand training.
Is a two-wheeler driving licence compulsory?
Not for every role, but it strengthens almost every dealership application: test rides, delivery-day movements and vehicle shuffling are daily work. For helper and warehouse roles it is optional; for sales and technician roles most dealerships expect it.
What is the real salary for these roles?
Only your written offer letter is real. Commonly advertised bands run approximately ₹17,000 to ₹22,000 for 10th pass entry roles, ₹19,000 to ₹27,000 for showroom floor and warehouse roles, ₹24,000 to ₹30,000 for cashiers, and ₹22,000 to ₹35,000 for technicians, varying by city and experience, with sales incentives on top for sales roles.
What documents should I keep ready?
Originals and photocopies of marksheets and any ITI certificates, Aadhaar and PAN, four passport photos, driving licence if held, experience letters, and a bank passbook copy for salary setup. A one-page resume completes the set.
Job scams: read this before you apply anywhere
One rule protects you from almost everything: you never pay to get a job. No genuine Hero MotoCorp process and no authorized dealership asks for registration fees, interview fees, uniform or tool deposits, or “refundable” security amounts. Big automobile brand names are a favorite costume for recruitment fraud, and an official-looking letterhead, ID card or WhatsApp display picture proves nothing.
The standard patterns to watch: offer letters that arrive before any interview; recruiters who exist only on WhatsApp or Telegram; guaranteed salaries far above normal ranges for entry roles; pressure to pay “today only” to block your position; and demands for OTPs, bank details or document originals before any real process. For dealership roles, verify in person or on the showroom’s public phone number; for company roles, trust only the official careers page. Report scams at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930. Never share OTPs or banking passwords with anyone claiming to be a recruiter.

Treat Hero jobs for 12th pass as a process: one clean resume, verified applications, a confident walk-in, and an interview built on punctuality and honesty.
